Today.

Sorry if my writing jumps all over the place, I often post my blogs before proof reading them.

I'm going to pretend everyone cares about my day today... ;)

It all began at 7:45am, I hopped my fanny into the shower, got ready, and drove over to Lake Leann to babysit Jack (practically 3 years old) and Ben (7 mos.) at 9am.  We had fun, played with Playdough, did a puzzle, played catch, sang, played the "drums", talked to the door-to-door-census-lady-even-though-I-told-her-I-was-just-the-babysitter, made "pizza tacos" [tortilla shell, pizza sauce, cheese, on quesadilla grill], fed Ben, put Ben down for a napper, etc etc etc.

I left their house around 2 and headed to get some gas.  Went home for an hour or so until Michaelangelo came home from work.  I went over to his gma/gpa's and picked him up, so masculine of me.  We scooted off to Adrian.  I went to a very strict, not one to laugh, the kind of guy that makes you nervous that if you say the wrong thing, their lack of patience is going to cause them to freaking snap at you, as you begin to panic that you are about to say that wrong thing or perhaps not respond to their question in a timely manner (you know...one of those kinds of people) well-known tailor, to make my dress fit me like a glove.  Oh b.t.w... I don't think I informed you guys that I did get my dress. It came all bagged up, kind of makes me laugh.  It's totally a Kelsey Grove dress, it's very beaded and pretty one-of-a-kind in my opinion, it's flashy but not gaudy.  My mom was sooo worried about the dress, thinking that it was shady to order it from China with never seeing the dress in person.  I personally didn't care, that sounds terrible I know.  But I describe it as this, no matter what the dress looked like I was going to eventually like it, and if I was "so" worried about my dress, I wouldn't be buying it of Ebay... right?!  But I do like it, a lot... it looks like one of those '1+ grand' ones.  But anyways, it was HUGE. "Made to your measurements" my butt!  I could gain 30 lbs and still have it fall off of me.  I don't have any regrets of buying it online though, NONE, Katie and I went to David's bridal this weekend looking for a dress for her and jeesh it only confirmed out outrageously unnecessarily overpriced wedding gowns are.

Continuing onto today.

We ate at the Chinese buffet together. Yum x's everything.  I LOVE hot and sour soup, In my past I've eaten 8 bowls plus a plate or two of food before, I don't mess around.

We hit up Radio Shack.  Mike was pricing switches.  We are basically setting a surround sound in our whole house.  Every room will have 2 or so speakers near the ceiling, where I can play music from my computer and eventually Ipod and turn a switch to the room(s) I will be in.  Jamming in every room, it's going to be awesome.  I am so blessed to have such a smart fiance, he's such a fix-it man. =)  I'm not sure if any of you have been to a mall or arcade or wherever, where they have one of those machines where you plop a quarter into a slot in hopes to have your quarter be the one quarter too many that pushes the other quarters off the edge where they are dispensed below where either you make money or lose many quarters. Last time we were at the mall I got way too attached to that "game" and spent too much time there.  I did much better, I said to Mike "I'll put this quarter in, and if I win we walk away, if I lose we walk away."  I plopped it in there, got exactly one quarter back and we walked away laughing that I got my fix.

Next on the agenda was Goodwill.  Heck yeah!  We've been getting a lot of house stuff whenever we're in a town with a GW.  Today we got 5 glasses, well actually 8 b/c Mike found some interesting mugs, 2 really cool mini lamp shades, an awesome huge set of plates/bowls/little plates that are from Ikea and white.  Oh, I also got some of those white poreceline canister things that have a latch on them and a wooden small spoon (sugar, brown sugar, flour) ya know...

This home stuff is really maturing.

We went to Lowes and bought some paint samples.  "Shark Loop" that's our dining room color.  We bought a dark navy blue for our living room trim.   Walmart included purchasing our water saving showerhead, my wedding earrings, some $3 Miley sweatpant capris, hair dye, paints roller sets, and maybe that's it... who knows.

My car and Mike's truck are going on the side of the road to be sold, this weekend.  That was a side note by the way.

Very productive day to say the least.  My life needs to stay this productive.  Thanks for pretending to care about this awesome day ;)

  1. I care. It was a nice day :) Any day that you can buy sweatpant capris (even if they are stupid miley cyrus capris) is a good day in my book.
