So I go into BB&B this evening with that $25 gift card and a $5 coupon--so 30 bucks. In other words I'm walking in feeling 'rich'...... I get all excited and [probably] smiley due to all the possibilities of the purchases I would be making. I walk down the aisles. A $139 trash can--awesome. A $25 mixing bowl--sweet. A $250 comforter set--this sucks. I wonder and wonder (by the way the word wonder (as in pondering) and wonder as in walking around aimlessly, the one I am referring to, is spelled the same hmm.) and go down the framed artwork, the abstract artwork, the candle lanterns, the bedding, the kitchenware, the trash cans and the picture frame aisle.
I just didn't know what the heck to buy. Not because there was just too much to choose from, but because I'm cheap and DO NOT want to pay 5x's the amount I am willing to. And of course the fact that I am 'working' with someone else's money means nothing to me--I want good bargains, every time. I'm sure I looked odd and suspicious, like I'm some teenager ready to pocket a potato peeler with her way over sized big red purse. Needless to say I am wearing my glasses lately (since one of the two last contacts of mine disappeared down the bathroom sink) and I am confused as heck when I wear these things. Like I have no peripherals and things that shouldn't spook me are more apt to. This probably made me look even more shaddy... maybs I'm just self consious.
I finally bought $33.80 worth of really weird stuff. Such as a wrought iron thing with 4 short stub legs, to place on the counter for hot food. Some measuring spoons too. Also bought a mixing bowl similar to the noted $25 one in first paragraph.. but $9.99. I'm calling it weird stuff because it's nothing "cool", its just "meh". Like, "Ohhh sweet you bought some measuring spoons!!" You know?
I left the store an hour and 10 minutes from when I walked in. I was no longer all happy, I felt pressured to buy $30 worth of stuff to use up my gift card/coupon and I felt like a sketch ball.
In conclusion as much as I thought I liked Bed Bath and Beyond when I first walked in, is as much as I do not like it now. It was not a pleasant experience and it might only be fun for me if I got to go on a shopping spree or something there.
I went to Target and bought a new comforter for our NEW TEMPUR-PEDIC bed!!!! Yeahhhh, that's right the one that sells for 4 grand new and we got for $100. It is awesome, like probably the most comfortable thing of my life. If you haven't noticed I'm rediculously pumped and proud about this.
I have to wait to come home to put the comforter on the bed, I wasn't sure if I 'loved' the bedding yet... but I'm the indecisive type (obviously) and it takes me a little while to decide if I really like something. I read some of those reviews and I think we're in business! [I had a Target gift card too k?]
BYE!
